Clarity and Gloss

In its preform state, PET is an amorphous polymer. When stretch-blow-molded, it becomes biaxially oriented, resulting in a final bottle with exceptional impact resistance and tensile strength, preventing breakage during transportation and handling.

· Standardized Neck Finish: The most critical feature of the preform is its precision-molded neck. This is manufactured to international standards (e.g., PCO 1881 for carbonated drinks). A standardized neck ensures compatibility with filling lines and closure systems (caps) from different suppliers worldwide.

 

· Injection-Molded Precision: Preforms are produced through high-precision injection molding. This process allows for exceptional control over the wall thickness and the distribution of material, which is crucial for achieving consistent bottle quality later in the process.

 

· Integrated Threads: The threads for the bottle cap are already fully formed on the preform's neck. This guarantees perfect cap alignment, a secure seal, and prevents tampering.

 

Performance and Sustainability

 

· Recyclability: PET is the most widely recycled plastic in the world. Preforms made from Recycled PET (rPET) are common, supporting the circular economy and helping brands meet their sustainability goals.

 

· Process Efficiency: The two-stage process (injection molding preforms separate from blow-molding bottles) is highly efficient. Preforms can be stored and shipped compactly, reducing logistics costs. They are then reheated and blown into bottles at high speed just before filling.
