Bottle caps are a crucial component of food and beverage packaging, and the first point of contact consumers have with the product. Bottle caps maintain the airtightness of the contents and provide anti-theft and security functions, making them widely used in bottled products. Therefore, bottle caps are a key product in bottle packaging, representing an upstream industry for the food, beverage, wine, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Early bottle cap development utilized cork, tin crown caps, and screw caps. Today, the industry has evolved to include aluminum long-neck caps, aluminum caps for carbonated beverages, hot-fill aluminum caps, aluminum caps for injection solutions, pharmaceutical caps, flip-top ring caps, safety claw caps, and plastic bottle caps.

As bottle caps are a vital part of the beverage packaging industry, changes in downstream consumer market demand directly impact the market demand for bottle caps. The booming beverage industry demands increasingly higher standards for product packaging, further driving up the demand for bottle caps. Given the key position of bottle caps in the beverage packaging industry, the development trends of the beverage industry will directly influence the demand for bottle caps. In recent years, the demand for bottle caps has remained stable and shown a growth trend. However, changes in packaging materials have led to changes in the product structure of bottle caps; overall, this will increase the proportion of plastic caps used. Although aluminum caps have been partially replaced by plastic caps, they are mainly used in alcoholic and functional beverages, where demand is growing steadily, while the demand for claw caps is more volatile.
